Ruslan Islamovich Ozdoev was born on the central Caucasus.

After graduating from university, in addition to his existing knowledge, he continued to research rare technologies for jewellery enamels and artistic processing of metals and glass in Europe, the USA, and Japan.

He built up a creative art studio for which he developed and designed unique equipment for the creation of works in various techniques and created his compositions in enamel and glass. He also authored techniques for art in enamel, glass, and metal.

His works are sophisticated and combine the classifications of the generally recognised fields: Painting (easel and monumental), Arts and Crafts (Grand Feu and Cloisonné, jewellery), Sculpture (relief). They work inseparably together.

The most important compositional and expressive elements in his work are texture, colour and design. This is the basis of the artist's method, exploring in practise the methods of combining different art forms. By combining the positive energy of space and intricate historical references, he creates refreshingly original works that combine unique art, skilled craftsmanship, and high design.

All the technological processes involved in the production of the works are carried out entirely by Ruslan Ozdoev himself: from developing special recipes for multi-coloured crystal enamels, voluminous metal cases and any construction details, to polishing and giving the work a holistic look. As a result, his works have many of the most charming and inimitable spectacular features.

The Ozdoevs are a very old and highly respected Ingush family. Ozdoev comes from a word in the Ingush language, meaning "virtuous people".

The tower complexes of the Ozdoev family stand in the mountains at an altitude of more than 1400 metres in the area called the Land of Ozdo, located in the central part of the Great Caucasus near Mount Kazbek.

During the Bronze Age, these locations had workshops for the production of numerous metal artefacts decorated with crystal enamel. The Ingush call the crystal enamel word "sir", and this is an ancient native word for the crystal enamel in the Ingush language.

Artist-jeweller Ruslan Ozdoev devoted many years to research and the discovery of the secrets of the art of crystal enamel, Grand Feu and Cloisonné techniques. The brilliant results of his research open new possibilities for the wide development of this extraordinary art.

He lectures at scientific conferences on the results of his research in the fields of art technology development and art history.
He has extensive teaching experience and is known for designing high-quality educational programmes and academic activities.

The Russian Academy of Arts (founded in 1757) elected Ruslan Ozdoev an Honorary Academician, recognising him as an exceptional talent and outstanding personality in the field of art and culture who has enriched contemporary art with outstanding creative works and scientific works of high artistic and scientific value.

For his outstanding contribution to the development of jewellery art, the highest creative achievements, and the creation of outstanding works of crystal enamel art, he was awarded the Grand Order of the Fabergé Foundation.
